We are always so happy to see winter give way to spring.  The weather warms with more sunshine, the buds start appearing on the trees, and the birds begin singing again.  This year the winter was very brutal and on top of that I had been derailed by a broken ankle.  So, my winter seemed unusually tough!

Now, I am looking forward to some milder weather and to begin walking outside again, checking out nature’s plants and animals in my area.  I feel so grateful that I live on a lake where I can see so much right outside my window.

It’s also that time of year to clear out the old unused stuff to make room to breathe!  That has become a spiritual practice for me.

  1. Jane… I am so sorry to hear about your ankle and hope that you are doing better. I thought about you recently remembering when you came to “clutter coach” my bathroom and dressing room. I hope I told you what an incredible, long lasting difference that one day made in my life. Honestly, I was embarrassed for you to see all the junk in there… but once we started, you made it so easy. The really good news is that with the containers you gave me, I have been able to sustain the organization. I am ready to go to the next level and do my closet so when you mentioned spring in your blog, it make me think of new beginnings. I need simplify again… something you are an expert in! Call me so we can set up an appointment. Breathing with you..moe ross

  2. You taught me the tools to assess and then purge the excess. Can’t say enough about how valuable that was and has been for me. I began helping a friend clean out her closet using some of the principals you instilled in me. I’ve sorted through and purged several garbage bags worth of stuff with her.

  3. Glad to hear your ankle is better and spring is finally here! After yesterday being so nice I truly do want to start getting that spring cleaning started and know that lots of people need to give you a call to organize their lives!

  4. Jane – I couldn’t agree more, spring cleaning is a rejuvenating experience for many of us. Unfortunately, for others, the process is just too overwhelming to handle alone. However, by seeking the help of a friend, relative or a professional organizer, they could conquer clutter. The first step is making that phone call.
